PowerISO is an image file creator and editor that enables its users to extract, mount, split, convert, and copy image files from and into any of the formats found. The program is also available for Mac and Linux and can create bootable discs and virtual images.
The trial version is simply great for no time limit is set and its only restriction is that it creates just up to 300MB image files. The program supports almost every format of image files like IMG, ISO, BIN, CUE, DMG, DAA, Alcohol, Nero, CloneCD, etc.
PowerISO has a virtual mounting ability that allows opening an image file without really extracting it. Users can create bootable discs and add boot information to a non-bootable image file. The program also contains a burner to write image files onto CD or DVD. Additionally, users can split and convert between image formats easily just by following the built-in wizards.
It is new in this version that users can create VCD and SVCD image files and find windows 7 and 64bit OS support. Another new great feature is the ‘Rip Audio CD’ utility. It is possible now to rip your CDs to MP3,WMA,WAV,FLAC and APE files. Users just need to select this option under the tools menu, choose the source and tracks, and rip them to the desired location.
Create encrypted optical discs and image files using 256-bit AES protection.
